ANIME: THE NEXT GENERATION
Welcome to Boreas Star, the only known planet in the Starwind System. It is a watery planet, and tropical, because of its close proximity to the star, Zephyrus, but it is also home to anime from all nations, time periods, and genres.
Definition: Boreas Star (Bore-ay-us Star) – Boreas was known as the God of the North Wind in Greek Mythology, the trickiest and most prominent of the four winds. The heavens, in anime, have always been depicted by space, the stars, and the air around us. Therefore, an anime mecha like this site could only be categorized by these elements… wind and stars. They also happen to be the site creator’s favorite elements and themes, and BoreasStar.com was originally intended to be a domain for a private studio of work. However, despite it becoming something entirely different, it still serves as a studio for expression… especially that of all of our love for anime. Otaku unite under this celestial sphere.
The History of SAS (quite a bit more entertaining than, say, the History of the toenail clippers, or how cream cheese came into being):
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (kudos to George Lucas)…
There were once two unlikely friends that created a name that would live forever in the minds of anime lovers…
Shuten: “Friends? Friends? Set drives me crazy! Do you know that she makes me wash the dishes for the entire household?”
Setsuna: “My house. My rules. You pay me rent.”
Well okay. So they were more like quarreling adversaries. Shuten and Setsuna created Swords and Scepters… the forum for Sailor Moon and Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, and ran it all out of their house, Ku Manor. Alright, now use your imagination here. All of the Ronin Warriors, every single warlord… each individual Sailor Senshi, and all of the animals that lived with them. The house was full to bursting. And that’s when SAS began to grow out of its humble beginnings.
Shuten: “Then they dragged us out here, into outer space.”
Setsuna: “Let the poor narrator speak.”
Noin: “Shh. My part’s coming up.”
(Are you wishing you were learning about the creation of cream cheese yet? Just wait… this gets even more cheesy here in a bit.)
Meanwhile, in the little known galaxy of Japanime, Zechs and Noin were fulfilling their mission to create the Terra Forming Project. They found Boreas Star to be the only known planet in the Starwind System, orbiting the star Zephyrus, and much like Earth in many respects. It was perfect for colonization.
Naru: “When do I come in?”
The only problem would be finding colonists suitable enough for the planet. A cross-section of human characteristics. A variety of people that would make Boreas a thriving community. But where would they find such a spectrum of individuality? Such a-
Naru: “Come on, come on…”
Shuten: “Yeah, get on with it.”
Setsuna: “I happen to agree.”
Noin: “Get to the point.”
Jeez. How much are you guys paying me for this abuse? Anyway, they decided to contact SAS, and use Swords and Scepters as a magnet for anime characters needing a place to live. But Shuten refused to take such a responsibility as colonization on his hands, and Setsuna wanted to work on her new experiments, so Noin took over the technical end and Naru agreed to handle the social aspects, since Noin wasn’t all that good with-
Noin: “Now come on. I am not that bad. I was Relena’s advisor after all.”
Naru: “How many social skills do you need with Relena? I mean, look at Heero.”
Zechs: “You’ve got a good point there.”
Setsuna: “Look who’s talking, Tuxedo Mask.”
Noin: “Hey, watch it…”
Shuten: “You’ll have to get used to that, Noin. She insults every male around here.”
Setsuna: “Maybe I’m just used to you.”
Tama the Turtle: “Myu.”
And so continue the happy lives of the members of SAS, here on a planet in the middle of nowhere, with a narrator that is going to go hide on the Tenchi Island, because even their bickering is not as bad as this.
